The battle of Leipzig (16-19 October 1813), also known as "The Battle of the Nations", was one of the biggest battles that occured during the Napoleonic Wars. Following the disaster of the 1812 Russian Campaign, this battle would see Napoleon's Grande Armée face off against the forces of Russia, Prussia, Austria and Sweden.
Beaten, Napoleon retreated to France and the battle cost the lives of 90.000 men.
